This is basically our chow without all the added vitamins and superfoods.
Maintenance Chow Base is great for raising crickets, superworms and roaches that are not being fed off yet. We use an alfalfa based pellet that is high in protein and has vitamins, minerals and probiotics, then grind it with starter feed into a fine powder. It is the base we use to make our Nutritional Gutload Chow, less all the expensive stuff. Use this for daily feeding of bugs that are being raised, but not being fed to your animals yet. To boost your live feeders nutritional value, switch their diet to the Nutritional Gutload Chow about a week before they are ready to feed off. To further boost Calcium to Phosphorus ratios of your bugs, offer them the Hi Calcium Bug Load a only one or two days prior to feeding them to your animals.
